Quality Assurance

Overview

WireCam is a quality assurance option. The system monitors the stripping results and certain properties of positioned seals. A camera takes a picture of the processed wire end while the wire is in motion, or "on-the-fly." Based on a two-dimensional top view picture, the software inspects each single wire end and compares it with the reference in real time.

Overview

The PullTester 20 is an economical, motorized benchtop device for measuring pull forces of crimp connections, welded connections or many other possibilities. The PullTester 20 is specially suited for quality assurance in a production environment.

Application Range

The most common applications are wire crimp and welded connections, but the design makes it possible to create custom fixtures for many other applications. This machine has two versions depending on required pull rates.

  • PullTester 20-25: 500 N (110 lbf) @ 25 / 50 mm/min (0.98 or 1.97“/min)
  • PullTester 20-50: 500 N (110 lbf) @ 50 / 100 mm/min (1.97 or 3.94”/min)

Hand actuated or pneumatic pull test devices can give inconsistent data depending on the operator or pull rate. Some standards specify that a test device must pull with a consistent rate. The Schleuniger PullTester 20 is equipped with a speed-controlled motor, ensuring consistent pull rates throughout the measuring range resulting in repeatable and accurate data. Pull forces can be measured in pounds force, Newtons or kiloponds.The standard 12-position terminal holder accommodates a wide variety of terminals to suit most applications.

The ElectrolyteStaining Unit 6 is a component of the MicroGraph System for the creation of high quality cross-sectional images of crimp connections and other applications.

The ElectrolyteStaining Unit 6 utilizes a staining solution with Ph level of 7, which is equal to water. Therefore, the staining process is simple and fast yet much safer than conventional systems that utilize acid solutions to etch the face of the sample.

The ElectrolyteStaining Unit 6 can be purchased as a component of the complete MicroGraph System or purchased individually.

Application Range

The ElectrolyteStaining Unit 6 allows the user to quickly and safely stain a pre-cut cross section sample for further analysis.

The sample is stained using an innovative electrolytic staining process using a solution with a Ph level the same as water. Therefore it is very safe to handle without any special equipment or training required with acids. A built-in staining indicator glows depending on the strength of the staining process thereby giving the operator instant feedback on the effectiveness of the process. Multiple staining pen sizes are available depending on the sample size.

The ElectrolyteStaining Unit 6 can be used on a range of applications from crimp cross sections to welded samples.
